The CSL PLC9000 is a user programmable multi functional PLC designed to monitor a number of IS Transducers both Digital (volt free contact) and Analogue type and to provide output control of connected equipment and plant.

The digital inputs are diode proven to ensure failsafe operation if cable faults occur. Dedicated counter inputs are present, suitable for high speed pulse counting, frequency and speed monitoring purposes.

The analogue inputs can directly accept signals from transducers whose outputs are in the range 0.4V-2.0V; also current output transducers (4-20mA) can be accommodated. 
Analogue conversion modules are used to interface other transducer types e.g. PT100 and thermistor probes.

Data communications to other manufacturer’s equipment and remote monitoring/control stations is achieved using high speed FSK modems, RS485 or fibre optic transmission modules.

The back plane is located on the rear of a Eurorack system and is designed to accommodate a variety of electronic modules. The number of modules that can be inserted is dependant upon the size of the back plane, which is available in 10 or 21 slot variants.

Of the slots available on the back plane, one must be reserved for the 9010A Processor Module. This module acts as the ‘master’ to the other modules ‘slaves’ and holds the user programmable configuration. This is created using a IEC 61131 standard PC based configuration tool.
