9266 ETHERNET SWITCH
The
9266-SW 10/100Mbps Ethernet Switch allows the interconnection of CSL
9200 series Ethernet networking modules via its 5x ports, it also
enables an Ethernet network to span a greater distance when used in
conjunction with 9265-FO fibre optic media converters. This is down to
the low latency ‘store and forward’ mechanism
integral to the switch that only passes on ‘good’
packets and ensures that the stringent timing associated with Ethernet
is maintained. With the 9266-SW switch, each connection is effectively
a ‘point-to-point’ network segment unlike the older
generation hubs which were simple ‘dumb’ repeaters.
The module is designed and certified to meet the ATEX Directive
(94/9/EC) and be located in an hazardous area. It may remain energised
when an explosive atmosphere is present
thereby extending its use to environmental monitoring situations.
Features:
- Supply : 12V dc Nominal @ 250mA
- Intrinsically Safe ATEX approval –
(Group I Mining M1)
- Industrial (non-IS) Versions Available
- 5 port 10/100Mb Ethernet twisted pair (CAT5E)
RJ45 Connections
- Status LED’s For :
• ‘Power On’
• Copper UTP ‘100Mbps’ (each port)
• Copper UTP ‘Link’ Established (each port)
• Copper UTP ‘Tx/Rx Activity’ (each port)
- DIN Rail Mounting Module Enclosure
- 10/100Mbps with Auto-Negotiation, individual
ports can be ‘Forced 10Mbps’ via dipswitch to force
a 9265-FO Media Converter into ‘longer distance’
10Mbps mode
- Supports MDI / MDI-X auto crossover (easy
cascading of switches with standard straight connected 1:1 cables)
- Broadcast storm protection –
eliminates network overload caused by excessive
‘broadcast’ and ‘multicast’
packets.
- Intelligent Routing - Automatic address
learning, address aging and address migration
- Supports IEEE 802.3: 10Base-T, 100Base-TX and
100Base-FX.
